Ruq pain and dr susp autoimmune hep. liver bx triggered exact pain but much worse. does this mean orig pain from liver? bx was norm. still same pain

Not necessarily: The cause of RUQ pain can be numerous, gallstones, peptic ulcer disease, liver problems including masses, colitis, pancreas and esophageal disorders may also present. Autoimmune hepatitis does not usually cause liver pain, the pain from a biopsy is due to irritation of the surface of the liver and musculoskeletal pain from the needle. Need more testing, including liver function tests and imaging.
