See ophthalmologist: This sounds like it is coming from the vitreous, the gel that fills your eye. It could be normal aging changes or it could be a sign of something more serious, like a hole in the retina. The only way to tell is to have it examined. I would do it as soon as possible as it could require treatment to prevent a more serious problem.
