Should treat: Avoid constipation, use stool softeners (not cathartics), increase fluid intake, increase amount of "high residue" foods in diet (ie. Salads), increase exercise (stimulates GI tract motility. Wouldn't ignore as the condition could become chronic. This advice is predicated on you being correct about your diagnosis. If you haven't, see your doctor for confirmation.
