At 1 month: A baby should hold head up on prone position at one month of age. At 2 months of age, he or she should be able to hold head at midline, and should be able to hold up chest. At 3 months of age, should be able to hold weight on both arms, and at 4 months, he should be able to roll over, though this is quite variable from a baby to baby. These milestones are average, and there are some variations.

Birth: Babies generally have enough head control to lift their head some and change position at birth. They increase this to 45 degrees by 2 months and 90 degrees by 3 months.Prematurity would require an adjustment in expectation by the number of weeks the kid was early.
