A member asked:

I am 17 year old and i am 5'6.is there any chance i can grow. all my family members are tall.i do stretching and i run aslo..

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe, maybe not: Some kids continue to grow taller into their late teens or rarely early twenties but only when their bone maturity lags behind their age. If the growth centers of the long bones have fused, you cannot grow taller. A single x-ray of the wrist ; hand can yield a bone maturity. Most boys stop at 17. Stretches will not help.Balanced nutrition, rest and exercise allow you to reach your potential.
