Diet control: Carbohydrates are essential in the treatment of diabetes, but the "right" kind of carbohydrates. This is in addition to weight control, exercise and if necessary medications. Uncontrolled simple sugar intake is not wise for diabetics and non-diabetics alike. Consult your doctor, a good nutritionist, or go to the american diabetes association website for some insight.
