Painful bumps on my neck, feeling like firm pimples. are they bites or just pimples?

Bites, pimples, +: As listed in prior answer about bumps under facial skin, could be either of those. Could also be an allergic reaction to irritant, food, or medication. If they become painful, could be a sebaceous cyst (filled with keratin from a blocked hair follicle) or early abscess (filled with infection/pus). If they are pimples under the skin, it may be cystic acne that can cause scarring.
