See details: The ace (angiotensin converting enzyme) level is a screening test for sarcoidosis. This is a chronic inflammatory disease associated with iritis/uveitis.

Iritis/ACE level: Iritis can be caused by autoimmune diseases. One condition, sarcoidosis, causes iritis and can feature an elevated ace level in the blood. Sarcoid does not always have a high ace level and high ace levels can be causes by other conditions as well.
