Pleuritic pain: Pain with inspiration is often due to irritation of the lining around the lungs (pleura). This may be a manifestation of pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, and a wide variety of other conditions. If you have fever, cough, or are otherwise symptomatic would see a doctor immediately. Suggest calling your pcp and telling them your condition now. Best wishes.
