A member asked:

Will a total cholesterol level of 130 actually regress any plaque that may be present in the coronary arteries?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plaque regression: Regression is a poorly understood phenomenon. High HDL and low LDL has been associated in some studies with some regression. Calcified plaque has not been shown to regress. Major plaque regression is infrequent.
