Blood pressure: The dash diet usually lowers BP 5-10mmhg if followed, many people require diet, exercise and medications all together. Many hypertensives require 2 or more antihypertensive drugs as each drug may only lower pressure another 10-20mmhg. Smoking can negate much antihypertensive effect so don't smoke.
