I have pain at base of head, scared about meningitis, would you have a fever with meningitis or encephalitis?

Meningitis: There may not be fever with meningitis. Usually nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, photo and phonophobia, changes in mentation and other neurologic abnormalities. If you are seriously ill this is not the way to obtain a diagnosis and treatment. Go to an er and get seen.
