yes : You may have engaged muscle groups you are not used to working and/or you may have aggravated some muscle groups if not done in an appropriate manner. Twisting exercises have potential for injury if not done in the proper manner and are not appropriate for all patients. If the discomfort does not improve soon follow up to make sure nothing more significant is causing the symptoms.
