statin: Statins are generally very safe medications. If a statin is indicated for an elderly patient, usually using Lovastatin or Simvastatin is less likely to cause side effects than a more potent statin.

They are all good: Not lovastatin!-- I use crestor, my spouse leschol(less side reactions) generics pravastatin, vytorin (ezetimibe and simvastatin). Trial ; error which has least side effects ; expence.
