Rest, heat , nsaids: If u pulled a muscle in your back then heat , rest and nsaids may be helpful.W/in 24 hrs. Ice to the pulled muscle can help; after that heat will be more effective. If it doesn't improve in a week or so, see your primary care physician. Good luck!

Not RICE: Most drs. recommend resting muscle & applying ice.I recommend applying heat to increase the circulation, thus improving the healing. Also, moving the muscle gently (not overusing) stimulates healing. As the strength improves & pain decreases, can increase activity.Muscle relaxants unnecessary.NSAIDS interfere w/healing.Try Tylenol, (acetaminophen) if needed.Osteopathic manipulation could ease pain/improve healing.
