Anti-inflammatory: As long as you don't have any of the following symptoms: pain shooting down your legs, weakness in your legs, loss of control of your bowel / bladder, then you can try conservative therapy. I would recommend an anti-inflammatory, such as, Ibuprofen and limiting your activity (no heavy lifting, vigorous exercise, etc.). Usually gets better, but can take up to 6 weeks.

Well...: First, avoid being immobile, avoid the sitting position, use icing on the area every two hours. try Ibuprofen 400 mg every 6 hours.
