Yes: Typical Ibuprofen dosing is 400-800 mg up to 3 times/day, preferably with food. It may be used on the same day as non-nsaid pain relievers. Do realize that all nsaids have potential adverse effects including peptic ulcers, acid reflux, increased blood pressure, cardiovascular risks, etc. Consult with your physician who knows your medical history before regular dosing of ibuprofen.

LBP: Yes, Motrin is effective. Try topical pain-relievers. Otc-- zostrix (capsaicin) cream (non-prescription strength) is effective. Lidoderm patches are effective. (prescription).
