no: Slow decrease of benzodiazepines (that is the way, directed by your dr), should not cause a decrease in appetite. In fact, I have observed in other countries preparations supposed to provoke weight loss/decrease appetite, containing this agents (which would only diminish the anxiety during diet). Ask your dr. Best luck.
