Yes: The nodes will not be swollen for no reason, but the reason isn't necessarily a problem with your health. Lymph nodes increase in size when the immune system is fighting something, like an infections or injury. Having said that, big or painful lymph nodes that don't shrink back down should be evaluated. In your age group, lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes, is a rare but real possibility.Hyj/k.
