If a person has cervicothoracic hypermobility wouldn't manual release of the muscles be contraindicated because increased muscle tone is protective?

Unsure of Q: I'm not aware of a condition called cervicothoracic hyper mobility ! please enlighten me... Sounds like you may have " loose joints" or generalized ligamentous laxity.A scapulothoracic strengthening program may be indicated but i would see an ors first for exam. Good luck!
