Can acdf c-5-6/c-6-7 surgery cause permanent dysphagia?

yes: Dysphagia is common after anterior cervical surgery. It can persist for weeks and sometimes month. If there is problem with swallowing liquids, saliva or it persists beyond a few months an ENT review may be indicated.
