I am sure: that the Spine Surgeon who operated on you explained that one of the more common post-operative problems was difficulty swallowing and a sensation of "choking" is also less common but described. MOST OF THESE SYMPTOMS ARE TEMPORARY AND WILL RESOLVE WITH TIME! Check with your surgeon who may wish to refer you for an ear/nose/throat (ENT) specialty consultation! Hope this helps! Dr Z
