I have a had feeling of swelling around shoulder blade and armpit on rib side for 3 years. lump there but long and skinny don't think its a node.

Simple biopsy: You have a lump for three years. You should go to your doctor and have it evaluated. A simple excision or biopsy could tell you what it is. At a young age you want to make sure it is nothing. You could then stop worrying. Hope this helps.
