A member asked:

Ebv vca 1 was 3.72 and 0.56 in august. today it is 5.14 and 0.68 why is it going up instead of going down. is it safe to have gallbladder surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

EBV: The serologies available for assessing the presence or absence of clinical infection with this organism must be examined so that you are looking at all the antibody reactions together and then interpreted in light of their clinical context by examining the patient. I am not aware of anybody who would put off gallbladder surgery based solely on the values you have quoted. Good luck.
