I have this tight feeling at my throat. how long to wait before testing for strep throat?

A few more days.: If you have a sore throat without cough/sneezing or cold symptoms; sore throat with diffuculty swallowing; fever over 101; swollen lymph nodes in neck; bright red swollen tonsils with white or yellow spots; go and see your physician to have him/her decide if a throat culture is needed to facilitate the diagnosis of strep pharyngitis.
