58/yr female bp goesup to198/89 from138/80 for 5 min she feels dizzy weak.cardiologist find no problem.please help, she has diabetes and high bp.

labile BP's: For patients with diabetes and hypertension, there is an increased risk for other conditions that can exacerbate the blood pressure. Other immune system problems with the thyroid gland and adrenal gland can occur. Also, she should be screened for narrowing of the arteries to the kidneys, which can also cause uncontrolled high blood pressure. Her primary care doctor can facilitate these tests.
