Reduce your salt intake so that you lose some weight from loss of water in urine. Reducing water intake may help too. Wish you good health!

Agree with Dr. Singh with regard to salt and water. I am surprised that you are waiting to see a doctor. Congestive heart failure could be a serious problem and I suggest that you should evaluated as soon as possible- if you are in distress go to the Emergency Room where they can evaluate you and initiate tests or treatment without delay.

I don't recommend waiting for an appointment with any physician or specialist if you're experiencing continual shortness of breath, orthopnea,weakness & dizziness. Even if the problem proves to be anxiety you should be examined by a physician as soon as possible. Chronic anxiety, untreated, will eventually lead to physical problems and if it's a cardiopulmonary problem, it should be addressed ASAP
