Perhaps not much: It my be in your genes, and continued hair loss may be unavoidable. That being said, before accepting this possible eventuality i suggest a consultation with a board certified dermatologist.Make the call and good luck.

Hair loss: Finasteride pills can effectively delay male pattern hair loss. They must be prescribed and monitored by your doctor. They will hold your hair in for many years, likely for as long as you are taking them. However if you stop them your hair will fall out in a relatively short time to where it would have been if you had never been on them. Daily shampoo for oily scalp.

Female Hair Loss: The treatment of female hair loss begins w/ accurate diagnosis & evaluation by a full-time ABHRS board-certified hair loss specialist. Sadly, this may NOT be your dermatologist because the field is now highly specialized in terms of evaluation & treatments. Treatments may include Compounded Minoxidil 82M, LaserCap Laser Therapy, PRP or hair transplantation in severe cases. Regrowth is possible.
