How can you tell if your glasses are made correctly if the focus changes a little if you look left and right?

Look straight: The glasses are designed so that the optical centers align with your eyes. When you look to the sides, you induce a prismatic effect which drops the clarity. But as long as things are clear and comfortable centrally, the glasses are probably all right.
