How long does azithromycin take to start working? it's my second day taking it for sinusitis and i still have headaches. should i be more patient?

Antibiotics: Antibiotics are not recommended for the majority of cases of sinusitis; decongestants being more important. Since antibiotics are often placebos, it's difficult to say how long they'll take to "work." you generally recover just as fast without them as with them.

Sinusitis: Hello, yes i would recommend giving the antibiotics a few more days. This antibiotic unfortunately has a significant failure rate in that the bacteria that may be causing your infection are resistant. I would recommend afrin nasal spray for 5days then stop. After your afrin spray, was your nose with a sinus rinse (neilmed). See your doctor if after 10 days, you are no better.
