Will xifaxan (rifaximin) treat giardia? not sure what is going on, but dr. prescribed xifaxan (rifaximin). still waiting on o&p and h. pylori. will this harm me if i don't have giardia?

xifaxan (rifaximin) is not a: Treatment for giardia, but for traveller's diarrhea due to e coli. It will not harm you. If your tests show giardia, you will likely get Flagyl for treatment.
