Neurologist: It sounds like you should see a neurologist to make sure that your thinking and balance problems aren't being caused by the same condition. It could be anatomical or nutritional or even psychological, but it's worth investigating.

Mental changes?: These are confusing symptoms, and a normal MRI does not rule out all neurological problems. I agree with my colleague about getting a full neurological evaluation. Do you use alcohol or drugs? These could cause symptoms like you describe. A psychiatrist may also be a useful partner in helping you figure out what's going on. Take care, and feel better.
