I'm confused: I would love to point you in the right direction. I dont know why you need a ct. Sounds like they have problems placing a Foley catheter and you were obstructed. You need to be seen by a urologist.

Well opinions are ju: Just opinions. From what you posted we do not know what they are trying to image but MRI and ct are complementary tests. The fact you are in renal failure means no IV contrast. Ct without contrast is actually a worse test than MRI without contrast. However maybe you can't hold still or maybe you have a reason you can't have an mri. You need to discuss this with your doctor.
