A doctor has provided 1 answer

MRI to r/o lesions: There are many causes of dizziness. Some of these causes can be secondary to processes in the 1) inner ear, or to lesions in the 2) brain. An MRI is very helpful to determine if there is a lesion (inflammatory process, infection, vascular lesion, tumor) pressing on any part of the path through which the nerve that controls balance travels. Treatment varies by the cause.
