See an eye MD: Seeing lights flashing could be a sign of a retinal tear which could lead to a retinal detachment and vision loss. Retinal tears are typically associated with a sudden increase in floaters also. In the other hand, seeing lights could also be a sign of ophthalmic migraine which may or not be accompanied with a headache. An evaluation with an eye md can help sort this out.
