Hi i am 53 yrs old male, diabetic since about 10 yrs. i am also high bp patient and have had 2 angioplasties. i need to know how to control my bp, ?

Hypertension: High blood pressure in diabetic patients with heart disease needs to be carefully controlled to protect your kidney function, brain, and heart. An ace inhibitor is essential, unless it causes side effects then an arb is an excellent option. There are several meds in these 2 categories. Other BP meds to consider include Coreg (carvedilol) (helps your heart), diuretics, and norvasc. Coordinate meds thru your doc.
