Folic acid good: For the most part, herbs will not help you get pregnant, and some may actually be detrimental. Over the counter supplements are not a substitute for a proper evaluation and appropriate treatment if you need it, although if you are young it is perfectly ok to just wait and do nothing. Folic acid is very important to have on board before pregnancy to reduce the risk of certain birth defects.
