2ND OPINION: It is strongly advised to have a cat scan or cone beam study prior to any dental implant placement to have an idea how much solid bone left and to locate where the implant will be placed to avoid impinging nerves .May be it is too close to the nerve canal .Please get a second opinion.

Bone 4 implants: If yu have lost bone over the years because of gum disease, or because teeth were removed and not replaced, you may not be a candidate for implants. If yu have ongoing gum disease, an oral hygiene problem, diabetes, etc, you may not be an implant candidate. Area should be surveyed with a 3D cone beam CAT scan (CBCT) to decide if you have enough support, or if ridge augmentation is an alternative
