Excessive lying on b: Hypostatic pneumonia occurs in old and weak patients due to excessive lying in bed.It is the result of collection of fluid in the dorsal area of the lungs symptoms are 1discomfort or tightness in chest 2shallow breathibg 3cough 4spitting up mucus, sometimes with a little blood 5fever 6cyanosis(blue tinge in skin and mucous membranes) if not recognized and treated can end in respiratory failure.
