Different lasers: When making the flap, the doctor uses either a mechanical keratotome or a femtosecond laser. Ilasik uses the intralase laser and zlasik uses the ziemer laser. Both work well. It is merely the doctor's preference. I would suggest picking the doctor and letting him use the laser that he is most comfortable with.
