A member asked:

My sister was diagn. with profound anoxic encephalopathy in august 2013. she can't eat, drink, walk, talk & urinates 1 in 24 hrs. happened fast? next?

More of the same: In general, the items you mention will persist and the impact will become more dramatic as she gets older.Anoxic encephalopathy just means the oxygen or blood to her brain was not passing through in adequate amounts for her nerves to survive. Once critical nerves are damaged, there is a good chance they will never recover. At some later time the label of cerebral palsy will be applied.
