Too much aldosterone: It is a condition in which too much aldosterone hormone is released from the adrenal glands causing excess reabsorption of sodium, increased excretion of potassium ; hypertension. It may be caused by adrenal hyperplasia or an adrenal or renal tumor. Sometimes a narrowing of a renal artery may be the cause. Symptoms include fatigue, headache, muscle weakness, numbness, increased thirst ; urination.
