Follow protocol: There is a specific set of events that are triggered from a workspace induced exposure to a possible blood borne pathogen. Explain your concern to your employer and they should be able to provide details that will put your mind at ease. Also consider getting better goggles even if you provide them yourself.

Nonexistent Risk: The risk of acquiring hepatitis C from getting a "dot amount of saliva" in your eye is nonexistent. For peace of mind, however, you could have HCV screen antibody test.
