CSF protein : The adult range of cerebrospinal (CSF) protein is 18 to 58 mg per dl (0.18 to 0.58 g per l). Elevated levels can indicate multiple possibilities: infections, intracranial hemorrhages, multiple sclerosis, guillain barré syndrome, malignancies, some endocrine abnormalities, certain medication use, and a variety of inflammatory conditions. Please ask your doctor about results in your own case.
