It is hard to give : An exact answer. It depends on whether alcoholism runs in your family or not. Occasional moderate drinking could have little effect on you if alcoholism does not run in your family. If it does, you are at risk, i.e., sons of alcoholic fathers have a 50% chance of becoming alcoholics. Over time addiction leads to drinking increased amounts of alcohol and the frequency of drinking increases.
