Carry flavored water: That is an impressive amount of water! Interstitial cystitis can be addressed through medication or surgery; but if water is working, that is a simpler solution. Some ways to stay better hydrated: (1) consider adding flavoring to the water (a slice of lemon is usually acceptable to most people) (2) Carry water with you, and drink it regularly. In the Army we evaluated hydration by urine color.
