probably: It causes change in ability to taste food, swelling of the tongue overgrowth of the gums, dry mouth, increased saliva, trouble swallowing it probably white patched in the mouth or tongue. Also it may have serious side effects with the other drugs you are taking.Best to discontinue this danagerous drug.

Not directly: This is a very "heavy duty" medication with numerous side effects. One of these is dry mouth. This could make you more susceptible to thrush. If you are having adverse side effects please consult with your doctor to see if they can switch you to a different medication that you might be able to tolerate better. Do not stop topiramate with out consulting your doctor first.
