Several things : That have been demonstrated aboit disc herniations include the fact that 66% of them shrink or resolve by 6 monthsvas demonstrated by sequential mris. 90% of disc herniations are treated non operatively while bulging discs are normal and not problematic. Regular exercise, weight control as well as not smoking are key to maintaining a healthy back.
