Bone Graft Options: Oral surgeons have several options for bone grafts. The preferred and most successful is when your own bone is used. It may come from the hip or sometimes the ramus (part of the lower jaw can be used). Other options are Cadaver bone, bovine bone or synthetic bone. If you are considering implants, your own bone give your the best chance for success.
