Graft: Generally 4-6 months. Please talk to your oral surgeon about your particular case. For a second opinion dr. Mike pikos in palm harbour florida is very talented and internationally known.

At least 6 months.: If you are taking bone graft from the hip (obviously for both quantity and autogenous nature of the graft), it tells me that you're grafting a large area or a very delicate area of your jaw. 3-7 month is the timeframe most surgeons would follow. However, larger and more delicate the recipient area, the longer i like to wait to give time for your bone to mature.

Beware: Iliac crest grafts as onlay grafts have limited success long-term. Before you consider this procedure get another 1 or 2 opinions. If you are in Norristown you can have a free panorex and 3D scan and consult with a Prosthodontist or Oral Surgeon or sometimes both at By Design Dental Implant Center - right behind the Mall. Always good to get educated about procedure and options. Good Luck.

Up to 9-10 months: It may take up to 9-10 months for the transplanted hip bone to integrate enough to support a dental implants. Ask your surgeon for more information.
